These reclaimed encaustic tiles are rich in heritage and each tile is traditionally handcrafted in Spain. They derive their name from the term “encaustic” which is an art term used for metal enamelling. They have this name because of the intricate patterns and designs that mimic the encaustic enamelling process. Cement tiles are not fired and there is no glaze layer on the surface of the tile.
They always seem to have a certain “been here forever” rustic charm about them. They tend to have ever-so-slight imperfections, due to the nature of their production.
Due to the nature of this range we do not currently offer samples. Please enquire via email or telephone regarding orders and further information.
