A short walk from material Plans’ Lewes base, An Actual Kitchen is where kitchen designers and makers Inglis Hall display their work. Fusing industrial elegance with rustic warmth, Inglis Hall turned to Material Plans to provide flooring to perfectly compliment the materials and craftsmanship.

The walls of the external entrance to An Actual Kitchen are clad in Lume Black, a beautiful glossy black brick shaped tile, tiled vertically to echo the traditional klinker tiles used on the existing shopfront. Perfectly at home in kitchens and bathrooms, their use here creates a dramatic entrance, while serving a useful reminder that as glazed porcelain they are frostproof and can be used externally.

The front part of An Actual Kitchen has the floor tile La Roche Grey, a porcelain tile evoking worn French limestone, but with an almost cement like character, a fusion of the natural and industrial that marries perfectly with the Inglis Hall aesthetic.

The impressive 80x80cm format (the range encompasses sizes from 60x60cm to 120x120cm) and unique honed surface give the feel of a floor that is at once contemporary yet feels it has been there forever.
Collections such as La Roche and Lume compliment the environment of an Inglis Hall kitchen perfectly, a successful partnership that continues to seeclients choosing Inglis Hall and Material Plans for their projects.
